Aptitude for School Beginners (ASB)

The ASB is a standardized psychometric assessment designed to evaluate a child’s readiness for formal schooling and is done in Grade R. It provides a comprehensive analysis of key cognitive, perceptual, and motor skills essential for future schooling success.

Areas assessed:

• visual and spatial perception

• reasoning

• numerical skills

• memory

• verbal comprehension

• fine motor coordination

• gestalt perception

By identifying strengths and areas for development, the ASB provides valuable insights to guide parents and educators in supporting a child’s learning journey and school readiness.

Assessment Includes:

• Intake with parents - (conducted online - 1hr)

• Psychometric Assessment (2 hrs)

• Compiling report - comprehensive report including recommendations to address learning gaps.

• Feedback session with parents (conducted online - 1hr).
